So what do we do now??

Dear friend,

I bet just like me, you are wondering about how the new health care act was going to affect you. Of course I was looking at it from the prospective of Health care provider.   Then I began looking at from the consumer side, or patients. It sounded good they would get insurance. They would have easier access to the health care system. But that wasn’t exactly true.  Many of our patients have seen an increase in co-pays and deductibles along with their premiums going up. I have yet to find someone this has been a good deal for!  So, what do we do now?

Let’s start with me; I’m the older guy in this group of clowns this past Christmas (picture below). 37 years ago I was a young boy who wasn’t in the best of health. I developed a painful hip and couldn’t walk without a lot of pain. My mother wanted to take me to the doctor but I didn’t want to go. You see, I had been to many doctors as a young boy.  As a 13 year old I only weighed about 80 pounds and I had lung and allergy problems. My mother God Bless her, convinced me to see a Chiropractor and give it a try. The Chiropractor did an exam, took some films, and then “adjusted” my spine.  The adjustment didn’t hurt, it actually felt good. I got relief, and I could use my hip again. But also an amazing thing happened. My other health issues began to go away. After 6 months of Chiropractic care I no longer needed the medications and I had gained 25 pounds. My life changed.  It worked so well that I went to chiropractic school myself.

The others in the picture are my girls, They all have been under regular Chiropractic care their whole life. My wife since 1987.  We can honestly say we have spent very few dollars on health care. Doctor visits and medications for illness just haven’t been a part of our life. So why do I bring this up? Their story is part of the answer for all of us in dealing with the changes that are happening in health care.

The answer is simple. Get yourself as healthy as possible to prevent the need for Medical intervention. Now that won’t mean you won’t have health issues. But if your body functions like the good Lord designed it to, you will be healthy for you.

There are a few basic principles of building up your health, exercise, eating healthy, sleeping well, a positive attitude and lastly having a healthy spine. All of these things work together to improve your health and missing one of them will reduce your health score. You see the best way to prevent high medical costs is to prevent the need for them. Does that mean you have no costs?  Not at all! The human body needs attention every day you must eat and sleep at a minimum to make it work. But if you begin a process of creating health it is considerably less costly than hospital stays, surgeries and expensive Laboratory tests.

Here is what you need to do!

If you are not sure what you want to do but would like to learn more. We have just the thing for you.  We offer a workshop that can teach you about the aspects of creating health. The workshop is free but you have to call and sign up for it. It is usually held in the evenings and last about an hour. You will leave that workshop with the knowledge of what it takes to create wellness.

If your ready to get started at improving you health we are here to help. You can Benefit from an Amazing Offer that will also help some very special children.  This year during the month of February we would like to offer you a chance to find out if we can help you without breaking the bank. If you mention this article, you will receive my entire new patient exam for a $20 Donation to Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center. That’s with x-rays, to find out the shape of your spine and what you need to improve to create a healthier you.  This exam could cost you $275 elsewhere. You can if you want just stop by and donate to the center. The Oklahaven Children’s Chiropractic Center takes care of disabled and very sick kids free of charge.  They work solely off donations. So please consider helping them out along with helping yourself. Call right away because this offer expires on February 28th, 2014 and I don’t want you to miss out.  By the way, further care is very affordable and you’ll be happy to know that I have family spinal adjustment plans along with discount plans.  You see I’m not trying to seduce you to come see me with this low start up fee, then to only make it up with high fees after that. “Further care” is very important to consider when making your choice of doctor. High costs can add up very quickly.  By law, this offer excludes Medicare/Medicaid patients.

Since all anybody can really control is their own actions shouldn’t one of them be taking control of your health? Isn’t your health so important that losing it affects everything you do?

In a published, peer-reviewed research journal, a study indicates that the immune system may be enhanced by chiropractic adjustments.  The immune system is the system that helps the body fight colds, the flu, and many other sick-nesses. Although all people respond differently to care, maybe you won’t be running off to the doctor as much once you start chiropractic. Studies show that people actually pay less for their long-term overall health care expenses if they are seeing a chiropractor. (British Medical Journal 1990, Thomas Meade, MD)
